The 10th October marked World Mental Health Day.
More than 18 months have passed since the start of the COVID 19 pandemic, whilst life for some communities has returned to a degree of normality, the pandemic continues to have a major impact globally on people’s mental health.
A WHO survey conducted in mid-2020 showed that services for mental, neurological and substance use disorders had been significantly disrupted during the pandemic.
For World Mental Health Day 2021, Specialist Technical Engineering Services (STS Group) took part in the WHO Mental Health Day campaign, Mental Health Care for all: let’s make it a reality by raising awareness and educating our employees on a range of mental health topics including:
- What is depression?
- Depression during and after childbirth
- Preventing depression adolescence and young adulthood
- Living with someone with depression
- Suicide and Self Harm
