We were delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor The Waterford Camogie Team for the 4th consecutive year. Established over 80 years ago, Camogie has become a dynamic and modern sport for young women across the county. Waterford Camogie brings together players of all skill levels from the 19 local clubs across the county.
The sponsorship allowed the team to purchase new gear for their matches. Travel and food were also provided for the team on match days.
The sponsorship had enabled the team to compete to their full potential, where in 2023 the team made it to the All-Ireland final for the first time in history. The following year, 2024 the team managed to make it to Croke Park to give their all once again.
Supporting the team for several years has raised the conversation of women in sports. The lack of funding, awareness, and support from the general public was predominant in the conversation. Through these conversations, women in sports precipitated through the local community.
