Social Impact Award
We’re delighted to have won the Social Impact Award at the Engineering Excellence Awards for our renovation of the Ceim Eile Centre in Waterford City.
Ceim Eile is a Brothers of Charity day service for adults with intellectual disabilities.
We renovated five rooms in the centre: the Relaxation Room, Multi-Sensory Room, TV Room, Computer Room and Entrance Hall. Each got fresh paint, new furnishings and electrical work, and we supplied touchscreens and sensory equipment. Our team worked evenings and weekends so the centre could stay open as normal throughout.
We were also fortunate to be shortlisted for two other awards, for our Apprenticeship Programme and our Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Strategy.
