Visit to Bristol Myers Squibb EU Cell Therapy Facility project, Leiden, Netherlands

STS Group were thrilled to welcome students from TU Dublin to the Bristol Myers Squibb CAR T Cell Therapy Production Centre project in Leiden, Netherlands.

This cutting-edge manufacturing facility will be BMS’s first CAR T cell therapy production centre in Europe—and its fifth worldwide.
It will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and production systems, focused on delivering personalised treatments to European cancer patients.

The visiting students are currently pursuing a BSc in Quantity Surveying.
This site visit provided them with a fantastic opportunity to see the progress on this large-scale biopharmaceutical facility.
We were delighted to be joined by TU Dublin lecturers Alan Hore, Tony Cunningham, Roy Byrne, Fiarcra McDonnell, and Seamus Harrington.

We would like to commend Sisk Project Manager Daire Greene and his team for facilitating us throughout the visit.
Their support helped ensure a smooth and engaging experience for all attendees.

Our sincere thanks go to BMS Project Director Derek Finn, who joined us for an offsite briefing.
He delivered a powerful overview of the project, highlighting the groundbreaking technology and its life-changing potential for patients with aggressive blood cancers.

Lastly, we thank the STS Group Site Team—John Hanley, Fergal Condon, Conor Ahern, and Denise Walsh.
Their efforts were instrumental in making this visit possible and memorable.
