About Us

STS Group was founded in 2006, in the city that still remains our home; Waterford City, Ireland. In the beginning, we began as electrical contractors in the pharmaceutical sector. This early focus laid a strong foundation for our expertise in complex and highly regulated environments.

As time progressed, we expanded into new industries including Food & Beverage, Commercial, and Transmission & Distribution. With each new venture, our team grew, our skills evolved and we continued to uphold the highest standards for our clients.

A pivotal moment came when we began working on Data Centre projects. These successes significantly accelerated our growth. It was an exciting and inspiring period, as the company’s potential truly began to take shape and we could see what the company could possibly achieve.  

By 2014;

STS Group had grown beyond the borders of Ireland and taken its first major steps into international markets. This expansion was largely driven by the trust and strong relationships we had built with our customers. As our clients grew and extended their operations overseas, they brought us with them!

We were grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside them, expanding into the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, and the Middle East. These developments helped STS Group become recognised on a global scale.

In 2019;

another major milestone was reached when STS Group joined the Dussmann Group. This was a proud moment for our company, a good news story that marked the beginning of a new chapter.

Dussmann Group is a German-based, global service provider. They operate in over 20 countries and employ over 70,000 people worldwide.

The acquisition brought significant advantages, including increased financial backing and operational strength. Just as importantly, it allowed STS Group to retain our own identity and way of working, while becoming part of a larger organisation whose values we genuinely share.

Since then, we have continued to grow and expand across more international locations, and our capabilities have evolved substantially. Today we are proud to deliver full MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) services and take on GC2 (General Contractor 2) roles on large-scale projects; a testament to how far we’ve come from our early days.
