STS Group provided the following scope of services with regards to our confidential clients control building & 4 bay transformer yard project.
The scope of this project included:
- Purchase, Install, test 3rd 110kV / 20kV 63MVA transformer, metering equipment & NER
- Design of power, control, protection & interconnecting cabling between transformer and protection panels and kiosk
- Modifications and SAT to interface kiosk and protection panels
- Supply the conductor to allow the earthing of HV side
- Coordinate with ESBN, supply and install the HV cable connections (flexibles) from the Cable Sealing End to the transformer internal HV bushings
- Provide the scaffolding in the cable pit to facilitate ESBN access for cable terminations
- Terminate and test of MV cables
- Supply, install, terminate and test of control cables and LV cables
- Verify the new transformer is protected by the existing Lightning Protection system
- Supply and install of containment & associated bracketry in CCB, Transformer bay & MV
- Liaise with ESB metering department to schedule delivery to site of all free issue metering equipment and agree installation methodology
- Install a free issue ESB metering and control cabling and mount associated equipment such as marshalling kiosks etc. as requested by ESB
- Site Test all the equipment and Protective Relays
- Civil works – tie into existing earth grid and erection of temporary site hoarding
- Commission all elements of the system including interface commissioning with ESB
