Job Description:
Suitable candidates must have experience working in an engineering or in a similar role previously, they must have the ability to
- Technically evaluate electrical design documentation against Electrical and client standards.
- Create and issue electrical reports
- Effectively use BIM360 / Navis as part of engineering activities.
- Redlining of Documentation for site use.
- Development of cable schedule and construction work packs.
- Perform / Validate cable size calculations (Trimble or other).
- Perform / Validate containment capacity studies.
- Attend FAT’s and SAT’s
- Identify Equipment and materials which are long lead items
- Identification of value engineering (VE) opportunities.
- Provide technical expertise and support across complex problem solving situations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Electrical Standards and Systems – below examples are not exhaustive.
- Medium and Low Voltage Networks
- Electrical Switchgear and Power Distribution
- Instrumentation and control systems (BMS/PAS/EAS/PMS)
- Containment Systems and applications (Ladder/Tray/Basket/Trunking/Hycon)
- Life Safety Systems (Fire Alarm/Disabled Refugee/Smoke Vent etc)
- Security and Access Control
- UPS Systems
- Emergency Lighting and Central Battery Systems.
- Gas Detection
- Data & IT
- Earthing and Lightning Protection
- Cross System Electrical Integration
- Implementing Quality procedures and processes on a construction project
- Technical submittals
- First of Kinds
- RFI’s
- Host Electrical Workshops to advance Design / Construction Issues
Candidate key Skills required:
- Electrical Engineering degree
- Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / Powerpoint etc)
- Excellent communication skills - Candidate must communicate and engage effectively with Client and Team members.
- Ability to work autonomously and/or as part of a team
