CSA Engineer (m,f,d), Frankfurt
Description
STS Group are recruiting for a CSA Engineer (m,f,d) to join our Data Centre team in Frankfurt.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Be fully aware and understand the requirements and implications, to yourself and others, of the company’s current Health, Safety, Environmental & quality policy
- Responsible for the day to day construction activities on site supporting the site management team in managing STS subcontractors
- Be responsible for updating your personal information and site information, as designated
- At all times, to act professionally and promote the company’s best standards and practices
- Assist in the looking at methodology and buildability of the project
- Assist in producing submission document
- Assist in attending site visits and recording information
- Assist in producing logistic plans
- Assist in producing programmes
- Assist in producing scope documents
- Assist in early procurement elements
- Assist in site mobilisation including site set up
- Provide for Accurate Setting Out and Control
- Establish accurate and clear setting out on the ground that site operatives can work to
- Communicate clearly to the operatives what the setting out is and how it should be used
- Set out in advance so that time is available to carry out any secondary checks
- Maintain the long term setting out
- Maintain project stations
- Instrument Calibration and Testing
- Get involved in the planning and monitoring of works.
- Get involved in the planning of work so that you are aware when setting out control is required
- Plan your work and monitor progress to get an understanding of outputs
- Be aware of the information requirements
- Keep accurate records of as built dates in diaries and on construction drawings
- Keep accurate records of events which are affecting the project plan or disrupting the work
- Communicate on a timely basis any such event to your line manager and a member of the Quantity Surveying staff
- Maintain a record of resources for labour, plant and materials (Daily Record of Resources)
- Attend weekly whiteboard meetings and Visualisation meeting
- Company Safety and Quality systems
- Carry out your responsibilities from the site management plan
- Completing Inspections test plans and ensuring they are uploaded to SharePoint/Viewpoint
- Completing CSA permits with the Site Manager ensuring they are in place before works commence
- Manage subcontractors ensuring the correct drawings and setting out are being used
- Recording materials to site
- Carrying our materials reconciliation records
- Build Relationships with your team and the client's representative
- Communicate regularly about work on your section with all members of your team especially the Site Manager, CSA Manager and MEP Manager
- Develop a good relationship with the Clients Representative at your particular level of seniority
- Be aware of responsibilities from the HSEQ policies
- Observe relevant statutory provisions
- Implement the company’s procedures for dealing with sub-contractors
- Provide input to risk assessments and method statements
- Ensure activity and/or substance-specific assessments under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations are made and communicated to those at risk
- Ensure employees, have received adequate training and information about the activity they are required to undertake
- Ensure employees are aware of the company’s policy for health & safety at work and that they have understood its requirements
- Ensure proper protective equipment is provided, maintained and used
- Report all accidents and incidents to the appointed health & safety manager/site agent and project manager
required skills / qualifications
- Degree in Civil/Building Engineering
- Minimum of 3+ years of varied site experience in Civil/Building Engineering for Site Engineer and 5+ years for Senior Engineer
