COVID-19: The Experience from STS
Disruption and disarray, the experiences of many as COVID-19 bought life to a standstill. On the contrary, for STS the situation throughout the past eight weeks, has been somewhat different. STS made a commitment to keep delivering quality services to each client which continued to operate across the essential services. Consequently, several of our projects pressed on despite the constraints the pandemic yielded. STS site teams worked tirelessly to implement restrictions, preventative measures, and new C-19 Response plans to ensure the safety of everyone, whilst business support functions worked remotely to provide a continuity of service.
The reopening of all STS projects across Ireland commenced on the 18th May 2020. Teams mobilised with vigilance and sites welcomed back employees with a difference. Tremendous progress has been made across our sites to ensure the safety of everyone with the fulfilment of numerous sanitising stations, daily temperature checks, social distancing measures, one-way systems, C-19 PPE for close contact works and dedicated COVID-19 Compliance Officers, to cite only a few examples.
Our dynamic and flexible teams of professionals have embraced the changes and acclimatised quickly to ensure we continue to deliver across our projects.
